In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful
Assalamu Alaikoom,
Dear Brother in Islam,

The answer of your question is as bellow:
Islam allows man to marry four women of his own choice if he is able to deal with them justly. The Glorious QurĄŻan says, Ą° Marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with them then only oneĄ±. (Suratunnisa chapter: 4 verse: 3) In the same chapter verse 24, Allah almighty says after mentioning those women who are not allowed to marry, Ą° Except for those, all others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property desiring chastity not fornicationĄ±. (Ibid verse: 24)

The above-mentioned verses obviously allow to marry woman of oneĄŻs own choice two, three or four without any condition of virgin or widow. The condition is only ability. One who is able to marry more than one woman, Islam permits him to marry and one who is not able to marry more that one then Islam prohibits him to marry more than one woman.

The Prophet of Islam (Sullallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and his entire life are ideal for us except some exceptional cases mentioned in the Glorious QurĄŻan and Hadith. We are commanded to follow him if we want to succeed in this life as well as hereafter. The Glorious QurĄŻan says, Ą° Say, if you do love Allah follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your sinsĄ±. (Al-Imran: 3 V: 31)

The Prophet of Islam (Sullallahu Alaihi Wasallam) married Sawda (Razi Allahu Anha) after leaving of Khadijatul Kubra (Razi Allahu Anha) for heavenly abode and later on he married Aysha (Razi Allahu Anha), a virgin. If it were not allowed in Islam to take a virgin in marriage as a second wife the Prophet (Sullallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would never have married Aaysh (Razi Allahu Anha). Therefore, to take a virgin in marriage, as a second wife is not adultery but permitted in Islam.

It will be better if you send to me the article and verse you read related to this topic so that I can reply you in better manner.
