Scholarship Meet Program organised by Markazul Ma’arif (NGO)

Hojai: A scholarship Holders’ Meet was organized to felicitate the students who have successfully completed their studies and became doctors by profession. The meet was organised by Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai- a well-known voluntary social welfare organization of Assam. The meeting was held at the Markaz Public Library.

The meeting was presided over by Dr. S H Choudhury- an eminent social worker and environmentalist. The meeting honoured more than 30 doctors who have completed their MBBS degrees by availing scholarship facilities from Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai. Along with the MBBS Degree holders around 70 other students who are presently pursuing their education in various fields by availing the benefits of Scholarship from Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai.

Mr. Khalilur Rahman Laskar, General Secretary, Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai explained the purpose of the Scholarship Holders’ Meet before the gathered audience. Mr. Khasrul Islam, Director, Ajmal Foundation delivered a valuable speech highlighting the individual social responsibility of the Scholarship Holders to make the world a better place.  He also thanked the efforts of Ajmal Family in bringing a meaningful change in the society.

Chief Guest of the occasion Mr Saurabh Gupta, SP, Hojai expressed his happiness that such timely measures are taken by Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai for the uplift of the society. He also shared his academic journey of failures and successes with the students present. The Guest of Honour, Mr Krishna Kishore Saharia, CO, Hojai expressed his pleasure by commending the efforts of Markazul Ma’arif. He also made the observation that such steps help in the progress of the society.

In his Presidential Address, Dr S H Choudhury expressed his deepest sense of gratitude and happiness at the fact that Markazul Ma’arif, Hojai played an instrumental role in the life of many budding talents who are now doctors, engineers, etc. He called upon all to extend  helping hand to the backward and economically challenged sections of the society after they become doctors, engineers, etc.
