Markazul Ma’arif stands with needy during the lockdown

Goverment of India initiated nation wide lockdown as a preventive measure to break the chain of pandemic Covid-19. But due to the sudden execution many people specially needy and wage labours faced many problems like hunger. Keeping this in mind, Markazul Ma’arif came forward to help the needy. Maintaining the social distance, staff of Markazul Ma’arif reached door to door to help people irrespective of cast, creed & color.

Markazul Ma’arif provided food packets to thousands of families within Hojai district. Packets having three categories. First category contains rice 25 kg, dal 3 kg, musterd oil 2 ltr, potato 5 kg, onion 3kg, salt 2 kg, soap 2 pcs. Second category contains rice 10 kg, dal 1 kg, M.oil 1 ltr, salt 1kg. Third category contains rice 5 kg, dal 1kg, potato 2 kg, M.oil 1 ltr, salt 1kg, biscuit 1 pckt.

In a press statement the President of Markazul Ma’arif Mr S.H Choudhury & General Secretary Mr K.R Laskar stated that this noble mission began just after 2/3 days of the lockdown. Initially it was limited within Hojai district but recently it was spread to the other districts. Markaz has reached out to 7000 people with food packets, the statement claimed.
